April 20, 2026, On Earth Day, Bit Clean completed the installation of its IoT-enabled cellphone recycling kiosk at Fabrica RiNo, located at 3001 Brighton Blvd in Denver’s River North (RiNo) Art District, in collaboration with CBRE.

Fabrica RiNo is home to over 20 companies, including the corporate headquarters of CorePower Yoga. The building’s tenant community — centered around creativity, wellness, and sustainability — provides a strong environment for introducing accessible, everyday recycling behavior.

The kiosk is now fully operational, offering a simple “drop-and-go” experience for device collection. The system integrates secure intake, permanent data erasure, and IoT-based monitoring, enabling real-time visibility into collection activity. On-site visual elements, including a branded floor mat and banner, guide tenants directly to the drop-off point.

This installation reflects Bit Clean’s ongoing focus on deploying distributed collection infrastructure within commercial buildings — embedding recycling into daily routines and advancing the concept of urban mining at the point of use.

April 15, 2026, We are excited to share that the Bit Clean cellphone recycling pilot at the Montrose Visitor Center was recently featured in the Montrose Daily Press.

The article, titled "Toss that old tech - City, Bit Clean pilot makes recycling old phones easy," highlights how the program is making it easier for Montrose residents to safely and responsibly dispose of their old cellphones. The coverage reflects the growing community awareness and interest in accessible, convenient recycling options.

Since deployment, our IoT-enabled kiosk at the Montrose Visitor Center has been operating continuously with 100% uptime. Over the first 3 weeks, we have collected a total of 9.2 lbs of old cellphones across 16 drop-off events - and the data shows a clear and encouraging trend: residents moved from curiosity in the first week to active participation in weeks two and three.

This kind of organic community engagement is exactly what the program is designed to support. By making recycling as simple as dropping a phone into a secure bin, we are seeing that residents respond - not immediately, but steadily, as the habit forms.
